Seasoned with the onion first. Worked very well. No more hot spots. Food cooks very evenly over entire surface. I had to place my Grillgrates on my old rusted grate because the Grillgrate is just shy of sitting on the grill ledge. But I love it so far and plan on buying another set for our vacation home.

I love my GrillGrates! I had a set for my Jumbo Joe which is the perfect size to sear steaks for a small gathering, but I wanted the larger size for cooking for larger crowds! Shipping has always been fast, and the products out of the box are excellent. I can't recommend them enough. The included picture is of the Jumbo Joe with just two sections of the GrillGrates installed. Look at those sear marks!

was a little worried if I did wrong, seemed like it took a long time, tried to call CS, line was disconected, then I really worried, but it arrived, seasoned it gonna try it soon, got some friends interested after this ole &$ year old tries it.

Excellent product. Bought a set for my Weber Genesis about 4-5 years ago. Work great, with no flare ups and perfect grilling. Buy these, as you won't be disappointed.
