I’ve been hearing about these Grates on different BBQ sites and decided to get some. Grates took about a week to arrive, as expected. I removed the original cast iron grates which were rusted to hell. Fit is perfect. My grill is on a windy, cold deck in San Francisco, so I’ve always had trouble getting the sear box as hot as I’d like. These grates solve that problem. These babies get hot! Most people are probably going to need to turn the heat down. Result is the best sear I’ve been able to get on this this grill! Very pleased. Highly recommended. Will prolly get some for my brother for Father’s Day. Here’s the proof:

I had one of their first tools similar to this but it had both sides as the slotted tongs. This made the tool quite flimsy and picking up a large steak was difficult. I have not tried this yet but the additional stiffness will be appreciated thanks to the one side being solid instead of a second set of the channel tongs.

All the products are absolutely first class. Very well made, nothing thin or flimsy. The grates are amazing.
