Grates are very good for burgers and steaks . Reduced cooking time . Cannot figure out how to create grill marks . There is a degree difference in using and not using grate. I’m estimating there is an 80 to 100° difference between the flat of the grill and the top of the grill. Have not really use the flat surface yet which I do think will be very beneficial. Highly recommended but trying to figure out how to use it. Recommend more guideline for specific meats , fish , vegetables .

I trimmed a SEAR’NSIZZLE panel to 12" long for a "Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Searing Grill" and have grilled over a year chicken, pork chops, steak, hamburgers and have been quite pleased on how moist and flavorful the meat has been. After each cook, the SEAR’NSIZZLE cleans up pretty good after a little soak in the sink.
