  • I honestly believe you will never get the kind of temps these grates provide from anything else. 750 degrees + on the cooking surface (laser thermometer measured) produces an amazing crust. Reaches temp in 10 min. This is perfect for thinner cuts of meat.

  • These grill grates are very useful. Yes, it also heats up the grill faster as well. It leaves awesome grill marks on your food and it does make your food juicer. No flare ups!!

  • I have been using GrillGrates for over 10 years now, and they are the best thing since "Sliced Bread". The ones that I ordered for my new Weber Genesis II fit like a glove with no flare ups at all love these things

  • If you own a Genesis, you know who crappy the cast iron grates are. They take forever to pre-heat....and they cool off quickly. The "Flavorbars" are a joke too. With the Grillgrates....pre-heating time is cut down from 30 minutes to 10....the grill marks are insane....cooking time is a lot faster...and the valleys of the Grillgrates give you food a much better grilled taste than the "Flavorbars". But these now and thank me later.

  • I knew going into the Weber Genesis e-410 that they were sub-par in the upper temperature range; Topping out between 500 and 550 (ours hits 540 after 30 minutes). Yes, I said e-410 though I am reviewing the set for the 200 series Genesis II. I purchased the 200 series set to use with the Weber brand griddle, part 7599. This combination is near perfect, though if I had to do it over again I would have gone with 4 full size GrillGrate panels along with the griddle instead of the set for the 200 series. The 4 full panels would have been about a 1/2 inch gap on either side, which I'd prefer to the inch or so that I currently have. All that said, the GrillGrate grates are the best I have ever cooked on. They considerably raised the cooking surface temperature. Sear marks are excellent. They seasoned quickly. Are easy to clean. I am very pleased with the quality and performance and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to enhance their grilling game.

  • I have a CharBroil where the original cast iron grills had seriously deteriorated. Not just rust, but the metal splitting and flaking off. Rather than buying a new grill, I bought new flame tents (separately) and this GrillGrate replacement set. They fit the CharBroil perfectly.

  • Great quality product. Perfect fitment on my Weber. Easy to clean amd cook on. Very impressive grill marks. Just follow the instructions from them and you will be ok. I would buy again if needed.

  • Used these grates to replace infer red char-broil products. Bought the Char-broil tru-inferred grill. The original grates rusted out in 13 months. Bought replacements and they too rusted to the point they were un-usable. These replacements are wonderful and appear to be ones that will last.

  • Bought the replacement Grill Grates for my Weber Genesis and they are great. I watched a number of youtube videos about the Grill Grate product and elected to purchase them as a full replacement for my old/rusty original grates. My nature is to be a little on the skeptical side but, without a doubt, the Grill Grates have ramped-up my grilling experience. After seasoning the Grill Grates, I threw on a 2" rib-eye, did the 2-minute rotates for the crossed sear marks. The net of it was, perhaps, the best steak I've ever grilled - juicier and more flavorful than ever. Since then, I've tried chicken and fajitas - got the same outstanding results. My grown kids are gonna have Grill Grates under their Christmas trees.

  • I've had a full replacement set of Grillgrates on my Weber Genesis Silver A 2 burner for almost 2 years, and a set on my Weber Performer 22.5" kettle as well, for longer than that. When I recently found a Weber Genesis II E-410 4 burner on clearance for $399, I took it home the day I found the deal, but did not even bother to cook on it until my full set of Grillgrates came in for it! It just makes the grilling/griddling/cooking experience so much better, and eliminates flareups on gas grill so much. P.S. anyone need a set of never used cast iron grates for a Genesis 4 burner? 😉

  • If you're like me, you're probably still researching, and/or thinking about possibly buying these grates. Since I purchased them, I have come to realize that these grates are incredible! My cooks use much less gas, so I'm conserving there. The food is more moist, and flavorful! I highly recommend these grates! You too wil love them!!!

  • Once installed, I used and oven thermometer in different spots on the cooking surface to test the consistency of heat distribution. I found very little variance across the surface at 450, 325, and 250 degrees. They are superior to any gas grill surface I have used.

  • after seeing my original grates on my weber warp and rust I quickly wanted to replace them. Then I saw the ad for Grill Grates! the never rust promotion quickly got my attention and boy I'm glad I ordered them. They are thick grill grates that wont warp or rust. In addition, the seasoning of the grates is super easy and was ready for us the same day. I've grilled steaks, chicken and hopefully trying out some fish on it soon. So far so good, perfect grill marks, no flare ups and even cooking. Highly recommend them to anyone trying to replace their grates for GREAT QUALITY and good prices

  • Living in Miami I grill year round & often. I put a set of these on a 17 yr old Weber Summit Silver A that I completely overhauled. I didn't think I could get excited over grill grates but these things are great. Steak & chicken come out perfect with very nice grill marks. The included spatula works great. After use and when cold I use a wet Scothbrite across the surface and they wipe up quite clean. Just for kicks after 5 uses I easily separated the panels and put them in a sink of hot sudsy water and rubbed them down with a Scotchbrite. They really cleaned up with not much effort. Preheating the grill once I forgot it on high for about a 1/2 hour. 500deg F. and they're looking and working just fine.

  • I already had Grillgrates on my Weber 22" charcoal grill, so was familiar with their advantages. While there was nothing technically wrong with the cast iron grates on my old Weber Genesis Silver A (circa 2002), the last time I filled it up with 80/20 chuck burgers, things turned into a solid sheet of flame eventually. With the cast iron grates replaced by Grillgrates, burning meat is now a thing of the past, yet I still get the nice grill marks I had with the cast iron. Burgers also come out juicier. I've also been using the grate to grill a lot of vegetables, and even without skewers, I can toss a bunch of oiled and seasoned veggies on the grill, and use the Grate Tool to toss them around on the grill until they are perfect - no more veggies falling through to die a flaming death! Highly recommended!

  • This is the very best grilling surface I have ever used. I use them on a Weber Genesis. No hot and cool spots and no flare ups. I would have given them a perfect 5 stars but I feel they should fit better. They are about 1/4 too short, Seems like they are about to fall into the grill. If I ever need a new grill I would absolutely get Grill Grates again , But I would custom order them for a better fit. Hey Mike, Michael here with GrillGrate. We have found if we go with full front to back coverage the lid will not close properly on Genesis and will end up resting on the GrillGrates. That is why they are a little short but trust us, they will not fall in.

    Mike Watson • 08/12/2020

  • The grates are 1/4" too long front to back, and at least that too wide left to right. The do not replace the existing grates. They don't even fit over the existing grates. Sadly, they are not usable for my grill. I called seeking a resolution, but the only option offered was for me to pay extra to have them custom cut. The woman I spoke with (Edna) was rude to me for not being happy about their expensive solution. She said they would refund my entire purchase price, which is guess is good. I wish they would have worked, and maybe they will make them in the correct size in the future, and not try to charge me to 'fix' their incorrect advertising. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brad here- we are having a time with Charbroil measurements. They change yearly. As you suggested we are taking the Charbroil brand page down due to this confusion.

  • After a handful of recommendations to try grillgrates, I finally took the plunge and replaced the grates on my char broil. First, I ordered an extra gap filler that was ultimately not needed. After about a dozen cooks, I'm very impressed by how hot the grates get and how well these grates evened out the hot spots on my grill. I would highly recommend using the flat side for more of your cooking. This setup is great for an even sear and great taste.

  • This grill replacement on my old Weber was the best purchase I've made in a long time. I give it about 20 minutes at slightly above low on my 2-burner Weber to reach the correct temperature, throw the steaks, ribs or chicken, and everything comes out perfect. It took only a few times to season the grate to the point where sticking is a non-issue (great!), and I never experience any flare ups like I had with the original Weber grates. The Grill Grate is worth every penny of the cost. It was arrived quickly, it fit perfectly, it's easy to use, and it delivers great results once you get use to the adjusting to the higher temperature as recommended in the instructions that come with the grate. While I bought the Grill Grate to extend the life of my old Weber, I feel that the Grill Grate would also greatly improve the performance of even a brand new grill.
