  • I bought this so I could sear on my Kamado but reduce the flare-ups I would get at high temps. I have used exclusively over the past week and love it! I have grilled delicious filets, burgers, smoked wings. I am very pleased with my purchase. Customer care is also very responsive. GrilleGrates stand behind their products. My Grate Tool handle broke in shipment. I wrote a simple email with pics and they sent a replacement. Great service. They have me as a loyal customer!

  • Get grill marks from a pellet grill and still have the meat be rare. No ugly grey meat because you have to cook so long to get some char.

  • I love my Grill Grates. The flexibility of being able to griddle cook or grill cook is such a God send. I have a 36" flat top griddle, that I love, but is such a hassle to use and clean if I'm only cooking for my family. Now, I can simply fire up the Weber with my Griddle Grates and do everything my flat top can do without the hassle. The railed side puts perfect sear marks onto your meat and the tip about putting wood chips or pellets in between the rails to add a touch of smoke flavor is genius and delicious. I've recommended Griddle Grates to all of my friends.

  • I won't assume that you all have also tried about every type of Grill grate out there. Enameled, Stainless, Cast Iron. All with the same results. They don't last, they allow flare up, they don't provide even heating. I've been using my GrillGrates for a bit over a month now. I'm completely blown away on how they're built, very durable! Also, I can cook fatty meats without the fear of a full blown grill fire. And lastly how even the cooking area is now. Before I would have hot spots and always avoided those areas. Now I can cook the entire grill and not worry about it! Love my GrillGates!!

  • Got these gloves to handle hit items around the grills and around the kitchen. They fit well and are great for the purpose they were made for, handling hot items. My wife also loves them and stated she was going to give some as Christmas presents. Get some. You want be disappointed.

  • The grates are awesome! The first thing I cooked on the new grates were marinated pork tenderloins and usually I have to let the oily marinade drip off before placing them on the stainless steel grates or fires start. With the GrillGrates it flared up for 2-3 seconds and then nothing. It was impressive. We’ve also done burgers and vegetables and it all turned out great. No hot spots either. Highly recommend.

  • Love them.I purchased two half moon grates and I couldn't be happier. Even heat with beautiful marks. Flip them over and you have a flat griddle. Well worth the money. ++++++++++++++++++++ We are big fans of the KUDU- what a fun grill!

  • I seasoned the GrillGrates in the oven before I used them. Not sure that’s necessary. I heated the charcoal grill, and had a surface temp. reading of 650 (f) and it proved to be perfect for our steaks for a medium rare. I turned them 4 times for the nice grill marks everyone is looking for. Hard to imagine anything much easier to clean up afterwards. Just a great product and really added to a quality steak.

  • I have been using my Weber kettle most of the summer, but as the weather gets colder and the days get shorter I like to fire up the Weber Genesis for quicker cooks. I opened the lid for the first time a couple months ago and needed to do some damage control. With a quick google search I found GrillGrate.com and ordered a set of grates for my ten year old Weber. They fit perfectly, the surface temperature is much hotter than it was previously, and the grill marks are great. Also, because of the height of the grates I was worried about cooking vegetables like asparagus, but because of how deep the valley is but, I lose less while flipping than I did before. Highly recommend.

  • I bought these grates not know what to think. Wow are awesome, they hold heat very well, you'll get grill marks and food very juicy.

  • I was considering purchasing a new gas grill but in the end decide to rebuild my current gill with new burners and a new valve, etc. It was much more cost effective than replacement with the savings then applied to a dedicated smoker. The only problem with this was that I wouldn't be able to have dedicated high temperature sear station with my current grill so I've invested in a set of grill grates to boost my current grills surface temperature using grill grates. So far, so good with my new grill grates as it does exactly what it said it would by boosting temperatures. I often cook steaks using the sous vide method and sear them on my grill at maximum temperature. With the new grill grates, I get much higher temperatures and achieve a much better sear than I did before which is essential for steaks prepared using a sous vide method. Miraculously flare ups have also been nearly eliminated just as advertised. So far, I'm very happy with their performance and the only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they are relatively expensive. Knowing what I know now, if I had to do it again I would replace only half the cooking surface (and not the whole surface) since that is all I've used so far. One additional recommendation, my current brushes will only clean the surface of the grates (and not into the valleys) so I plan to buy the dedicated brush sold for them and would recommend everyone to purchase them with your new grates and save the shipping later.

  • I’ve come to really enjoy reverse searing my meats. GrillGrates work perfectly. I move my meat from my pellet grill set at 180/200 when it reaches 120 degrees internal to my gas grill with the GrillGrates on it, turned up to 500/600 degrees. Sear each side for a few minutes and perfection. Tender and juicy. Steaks, pork sirloin steaks, chicken. Inexpensive and high quality!!! Buy a set, you won’t regret it and it will change your backyard cooking chops!

  • I don't have a top of the line grill but I do like my Sam's hybrid. These grill grates have made a mediocre grill into a great pleasure. I grill about 5 days a week until the Nebraska winter forces me to stop. They are easy to clean and maintain and are awesome to cook on with it's versatility. I will definitely buy these again when I can invest in a quality propane grill and have highly recommended them to others.

  • Fitting perfectly in my LG900, replacing 1 of the original grates. Placed directly over the opened Flame Broiler it's a hell fire, so take care for your Steaks!

  • Just bought the CC Sear Box, and installed it on my RecTeq 590 Smoker. The sear box comes with a thin cast iron 'grate'. The Grill Grates are the perfect addition to the sear box. Heats up fast, works like a champ. The sear box WITH the Grill Grates allowed me to get rid of my Weber Gasser. If you have a CC Sear Box, you gotta get these Grill Grates.

  • Great Product

    David Seibert • 09/17/2020

  • My steak was my first cook in the GrillGrates. Not knowing what exactly to expect after reading that they cooked hotter than the standard grates that came with my GMG. So I gradually brought my temperature up, with the grates on, and measured with a infrared until the grates reached my grilling temp. Not only was I amazed with the sear marks but more than happy with the tenderness and outstanding flavor. I added a few pellets in the grate valleys and was a happy camper. So after that first cook and I saw the potential, I ordered them for my Daniel Boone Pellet Grill. It’s first cook was Spatchcock chicken. Best move on my part. They do what they advertise. Love them.
