Food and Wine magazine served as the inspiration for this simple recipe. What could be better than sweet and spicy bacon? Not much! Feel free to take the flavor profile of this creation in any direction you like.
Ingredients

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
20 slices of thick cut bacon
Directions
Step 1
Preheat your grill to medium heat- 400F
Step 2
In a small bowl, whisk the brown sugar with the cayenne and chili powders.
Step 3
Arrange the bacon strips on a sheet pan.
Step 4
Sprinkle half the sugar/pepper mixture evenly over the bacon.
Step 5
Carefully flip bacon pieces over and sprinkle with remaining sugar/pepper mixture.
Step 6
Transfer bacon to preheated grill and allow to cook for 5-7 minutes.
Step 7
With tongs, carefully flip the bacon over to it’s other side and allow to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
Step 8
Depending on how crispy or chewy you like your bacon it may be finished earlier or later- you will just have to pay close attention towards the end of the cook.
Step 9
Remove bacon from grill to clean pan and allow to cool.
