During testing, this recipe cooks to our preferred amount of doneness when grilled for five minutes total. It should go without saying that if you prefer tuna more well done or extremely rare you will need to adjust cooking times accordingly.

Ahi Tuna Filet

Teaspoon Avocado Oil

Salt and Pepper

Lemon wedge

Directions

Step 1

Remove the ahi tuna from the refrigerator and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking

Step 2

Preheat the SearNSizzle™ in the middle position on broil for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Pat the tuna dry with a paper towel

Step 4

Lightly oil both sides of the tuna and season with salt and pepper

Step 5

Grill the tuna for five minutes total flipping once

Step 6

Remove the tuna and spritz with lemon juice
