Like the first robin of the season, asparagus is always a sure sign that spring is in the air. These days good asparagus is commonly found year-round in the fresh produce section of your grocery store. We enjoy finding tender asparagus pieces not quite the thickness of a pencil when available and find them perfect for cooking with the Air Fryer using your SearNSizzle™

Pound Fresh Asparagus

Tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Teaspoon Garlic Salt

Teaspoon Onion Powder
Lemon wedge (optional)
Directions
Step 1
Wash asparagus and pat dry
Step 2
With a sharp knife cut and remove the bottom third of the asparagus stem and discard
Step 3
Preheat the SearNSizzle™ in the high position on broil for 10 minutes
Step 4
Combine garlic salt and onion powder and set aside
Step 5
In a large bowl, coat asparagus with oil and gently toss to make sure all the pieces get coated
Step 6
Sprinkle seasoning on asparagus and toss to coat
Step 7
When the SearNSizzle™ is preheated place the asparagus perpendicular to the rails and cook on air crisp

Cook for five to seven minutes or until the asparagus has wilted and is done throughout

Remove and squeeze juice from the lemon wedge over the cooked asparagus
