Millions of People Discovered the Joy of Grilling During the Pandemic

One of the few bright spots of the pandemic is that we became better cooks! Those of us lucky enough to have backyards turned to grilling in record numbers. Like bicycles, it was hard to find a grill last summer.

I predict summer barbeques will be the invite of the 2021 season. All those backyard makeovers in 2020 will soon be shared with friends and family as we begin to shed our masks and raise an adult beverage around the grill this summer.

A recent survey from the Lamb Board confirms outdoor grilling and dining was a cultural lifesaver during Covid. Now grilling and entertaining are poised to be even more popular as we all get to show off our beautiful new backyards and our grilling prowess. Ladies and Gentleman- start those fires and grab your Tongs! The Summer of Grate Grilling is about to begin!
